“ Smoked ribeye dinner. Steak was tender and not overly smoked or seasoned. Pinto beans and coleslaw excellent ”
“ The first thing I noticed was the inside was clean, spacious, and had shiny floors. Ordered a sliced brisket plate with coleslaw and potato salad. After I sat down I was asked if I wanted slice onions and/or pickles. Once the order arrived I could tell they loaded up the sliced brisket. They had two BBQ sauces, one sweet & mild and the other was spicy. I tried both and mixed to my choosing. Several times the staff came by and asked if everything was ok. At all times the staff were very friendly and helpful. I very much enjoyed all the brisket, it had a very thin layer fat and was cooked perfectly. The potato salad was good and had just the right amount of pepper as seasoning. The coleslaw was creamy and complimented the brisket. For dessert I ordered blackberry cobbler with a topping of Blue Bell ice cream. It was a nice sweet touch to end a delicious meal. ”
“ My husband and I went for lunch. We live in Norman and we had been wanting to try Smokin Joe's. The sliced brisket was so delicious and had a beautiful bark on it. It was very tender and juicy. Their homemade coleslaw was so creamy and tasted great. I loved it! I'd have to say it's the best coleslaw I've ever eaten at a restaurant. The Blackeyed peas were homemade also and those were amazing. It's kinda expensive but it's worth it. You get ALOT of food. We took meat home with us. The cashier and servers were all very friendly. We will definitely go back again and recommend them to our friends. ”
“ We played the hook and ring game while waiting for our table of seven's food, which came out quickly. Everything tasted great, especially that amazing sauce. Definitely get the baked potato with chopped beef—it was so good, even my wife admitted it beat Ray's. ”
“ Exceeded expectations. Pulled pork may have been the best I have ever tasted. If I lived near here I would eat here frequently. Clean floors and uncluttered dining area. Friendly staff. Highly recommend! ”
“ I'm really picky on BBQ but with Smoking Joe's BBQ the pulled pork sandwich was very juicy. There is no dry rub on the meat so you can taste the smoke flavor. There isn't a whole lot of smoke flavor to the meat so some people may find that better in taste. I got one want to taste the smoke flavor. Now let's talk about sauce.... The sauce here I can actually say has been the best I have tasted in a very long time. Not to sweet not to much vinegar. Very tasty. The meat and the sauce compliments each other well. The peach cobbler with ice cream great way to finish off the meal. I gave my rating because the young man forgot my cobbler and lady at the front while placing orders was taking a bit to long and left the counter. The atmosphere was Abit bland for a BBQ place. But if your looking for a more relaxed atmosphere this is the place you want to be. But will I come back for the food... Absolutely I will be giving updates on other food items in the future. I will be bringing my father as well next time for his judgement on the BBQ as well. If y'all remember he was a judge for the BBQ royal rumble in Kansas City Missouri Missouri Kansas awhile back. I sure think he would enjoy this place. F.y.i this place bets vans pig stand by far. Best BBQ I have had in a long time. ”
“ Consistency and great service over two different visits. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, beans, okra, slaw, and potato salad sides were all tasty. Good sized portions leave plenty for leftovers. Second visit got the smoked ribeye that just sold out on my first Friday visit. Showed up late afternoon and was able to get some this time. Delicious!!! A generous slice of ribeye steak along with a complimentary sized loaded baked potato. Au jus and a creamy horseradish sauce. Plenty of leftovers for later! Tasty deserts as well. We have tried the strawberries in a cloud and the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Both were excellent ways to end a tasty dinner. ”
“ Amazing barbecue! Delicious fries. Really, the reviews that says good fries are true. I had the hamburger! Yummy! Made fresh so it takes longer. If I'm in the area I'll definitely come back. PS: Be aware there is a 3% or so extra charge if you use card, not cash. ”
